PRODUCTION

Our principled approach to materials and fabrics also extends to garment production.

We work with manufacturers that we have personally visited to ensure a happy working environment.

Community Made

Our swimwear is made in a small factory in India that employs and supports 90 people from the local community. A little less than half the workforce is women.

All workers get paid a very fair wage, averaging 35% more than the local living wage. Overtime hours are compensated at two times the hourly rate. Our workers are provided health insurance and retirement plans to secure their future.

Striving to do Better

With the onslaught of globalization, the factory is often where all economic dysfunction is focused – unsafe, even unsanitary working conditions, highly eroded wages and little concern for the environment.

As we grow, we will continue to pursue ethical production by asking difficult questions, seeking transparency and choosing people over profits. The idea is to nudge all stakeholders in creating tangible social change.
