New Lease of Life

Our swim shorts are made from an indigenously developed, proprietary fabric called ReyLuxe. This fabric is made from re-generated polyester sourced from post-consumer plastic waste such as PET bottles found in India’s oceans and beaches.

All the accessories and embellishments that accompany our garments are either fully recyclable or made from sustainable materials. For example, instead of plastic, we use Corozo buttons. Made from the nut of the Tagua Palm, which grows wild in the South American rainforest, these buttons are natural and fully biodegradable.

Bottles to Beachwear to Basics

It’s an that we are all familiar with – discarded plastic bottles. The impact of plastic pollution on our oceans is worse. By 2050, it is estimated that there will be more plastic than fish in the sea.

We aim to introduce a closed loop system to keep our clothes in circulation for as long as possible. The scheme will encourage customers to return and recycle their old swimming trunks for new. As a first step, we have collaborated with Respun India who collect old clothes from our customers. These clothes are then recycled and saved from incineration or landfills. We also make other products from production remnants, such as travel pouches, that are available for sale.

Protecting our Seas

It’s an eyesore that we are all familiar with – discarded plastic bottles. The impact of plastic pollution in our oceans is worse. By 2050, it is estimated that there will be more plastic than fish in the sea.

We are proud to use Repreve, a new proprietary recycled polyester fabric made using 100% post-consumer PET bottles. Plastic bottles collected as marine litter, are chopped into tiny chips, heated, and spun into Repreve. This silky soft fabric enhances the vibrancy of colors while bringing out the richness of each pattern.
